This washer is terrible and the customer service of LG and Best Buy is even worse If I could I would give 0 stars. I purchased the washer from Best Buy. 30 days after I purchased the washing machine it leaked all over my laundry room floor and ruined my floors. Best Buy took no responsibility because it was after 15 days. LG took no responsibility because they said I purchased it from Best Buy. I waited on hold for about 9 hours to speak to a supervisor at LG and their customer service kept dropping my call. Buyer Beware TERRIBLE PRODUCT and EVEN WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE. now im stuck with a broken brand new washing machine that i have to call a handyman to fix. Never buying from LG or BEST BUY again

Ordered on 9/11 and promised delivery on 9/17. Was not delivered and multiple times later it was installed on 9/29 with missing parts used old appliance parts. Spent 3-5 hours on the phone with no resolution to the issues. Unclear if the appliance is reliable or not since we just received it. However what ever future service or repairs we might need I fear will be the same horrible experience so far. I should have read all the horrible customer service stories before purchasing. Be warned

Non-functional appliance terrible repair service

WM4000HBA Washing Machine 9/30/2024

The washer was installed without ensuring it was functional. It showed an IE error common per online posts. Past Home Depot 48h return window I was left dealing directly with LG. After a week a third-party technician found that multiple parts needed replacement on a brand new machine not a good sign of LGs factory quality controls. Im stuck waiting for parts with over 2 weeks and no working washer. Disappointing experience with LGs quality control repair services.

Purchased from Sams Club in April 2024. The dryer had an issue in the first 30 days. My washer broke down almost 3 weeks ago. Repairman came out within a week. LG ordered a part for what they thought the repair needed . Couldnt repair it. Need another part. A part was ordered and sent to my house. Repairman was supposed to be there Friday September 27. LG. Notified me not all parts were delivered. They didnt already know that??? Now Im on my 4 th trip to laundromat and do t know when will be repaired.

Literally Stinks

Literally stinks - world great great features. But had a musty rubbery smell from when the factory wrapping was removed. Twice spent 1/2 hours on Chat with LG and got cut off both times with the no follow up? Both times they said probably hooked up wrong with drain hose etc. And finally convinced it smelled when unwrapped before even connecting to anything. Then they wanted me to hire a plumber to check out?? Both times communication stopped before a Next Step?

Terrible delivery experience with no C/S help

No idea how good the washer and dryer are because after a month of waiting they were dropped off and not installed which was included for both products. Ive been on their chat had 4 very long phone calls all in an attempt to verify installation and each time no one is able to help. They promise escalation but nothing happens. Customer service is accessible but no one can help resolve anything. This after calling beforehand to confirm the delivery company will install all pieces and have the attachments. If you expect delivery and installation in a reasonable amount of time do NOT buy from LG direct. Very disappointing experience after being a long time LG fan and owner.

A repairman came out over a week ago and need another part to fix. Over a week later part came in but waiting repairman availability which is this Friday. Im currently out the laundromat 3rd time.

I have had this washer for a couple of months. It worked find but has now stopped working and the suggested steps to start it up again have not worked. It is under manufacturer warranty but it is proving impossible to get someone to come out and repair it. It broke down on 9/4/24. A repairman was due on 9/9/24 cut never showed. Our next appointment is first 9/29/24. This situation is a total repeat of our first LG washer which also broke down and took a month and a half to be replaced as it couldnt be fixed. The product is great as long as it works. Good luck trying to get it fixed and it will break down.

Works well but can be noisy

I bought the front loader so as to put a platform on top. Previously had the LG top loader and loved it. The front loader cleans well and leaves the clothes exceptionally dry so will not need as much drying time. Because of the speed with which it spins however there is a high pitched sound that can be annoying. Spoke with customer service and they feel this is normal. Previously had a different brand front loader and it didnt have this annoyance.

LG has the worst customer service

Bought this and the corresponding Dryer only to find that LG is now offering the same units at the same price with free pedestals. i.e. the Top Deal that I missed by literal days. I reached out to customer service before the units were even delivered and the customer service rep said they couldnt modify an existing order. I asked if an exception could be made since it hadnt been delivered and they just repeated what they read off a prompt script. So I reached out to corporate. Then going back and forth with the AI generated texting of the Presidential Liason Alexis you couldnt think up a better name? they basically refused to budge saying I would need to return the two units now already delivered and installed in my house so we can place a new order to have two new units and the pedestals delivered. Clearly LG doesnt concern itself with a carbon footprint. Why they simply cant just give me the two pedestals gratis that theyre now offering to every other customer buying the same units through end of the year is beyond me. The L in LG certainly doesnt stand for Logic. Very disappointing as a first time customer.

The washing machine in its function are great but the smell completely downgrades it. From the minute we opened the original packaging it smelled musty and mildewy and even very plasticky. I have chatted three different times now with support and every time I end up getting cut off before the conversation is finished? Every time we start off and they tell me that either the drain pipe is being put in incorrectly or something with the plumbing system. Every time I have to convince them first that it smelled right out of the package before it was even connected to the plumbing system. No one has ever followed up from these chats even though full names and email addresses were exchanged at the beginning.

To all you prospective buyers out there BEWARE LG products are great and I own 3 LG tvs. I wanted to own this washer and matching dryer but it is proving to be thge most frustraring experience ever. I place my order middle of August 2024. Received a message from shipping company RXO about a delivery date and time window. On the date that the product was supposed to be delivered i moved my old washer and dryer out of the laundry room had plumbing and electrical modifications made to the laundyr room to accomodate the new appliances. The delivery window set by the delivery company came and went. I got a message that they would be late. No problem. The second window came and went and never heard from delivery company. Called them just before close of business and was told that the truck had broken down and I needed to call back to schedule new appointment. Called back next day and was told that delivery company never received the order from LG. Have been trying for several days and many phone calls to cancel my order only to fall on deaf ears from LG offshore customer service. The cannot cancel order as it has left their whare house and cannot cancel with delivery company because they havent heard from LG. They insist that my delivery is now scheduled for middle of September. Total Nightmare. MY suggestion to all you prospective buyers is even though it appears less expensive to buy directly from this website DONT. Buy from a brick and mortar dealer or big box store. After what I have been through with their customer service it is not worth the $100 that i was going to save. Bought the same washer dryer from one of the Big Box home improvement store yesterday. Delivery is this afternoon and I bought the extended warranty through that store. Because If I have to have my equipment serviced I sure as Heck do NOT want to have to deal with LG customer service ever again. The store I bought my appliances from has a price match gurantee. Took a screen shot of the price on this site and they matched it. If I can save just one person the frustration I have been through with these folks it will be worth my time writing this.

Bought a front load washer. Drum was broken in a year and a half. It was an awful experience trying to deal with LG to get the new drum ordered. It took over six weeks for LG to send a new drum to be installed. Six weeks where we didnt have a working washer.it should never take that long.

It stinks literally.

We bought this machine just over a month ago. And when we opened the box and unwrapped the seal it smelled very musty and moldy. We just assumed thats from wherever it had been stored. But we have now run 10 plus loads through it ran the tub clean cycle twice ran through a commercial washing machine cleaner and it still smells awful. I chatted with an LG representative for over 20 minutes and finally convinced them that the smell was out of the box and it had nothing to do with the drain plumbing systems etc. that they chef us to check out first. Then that got disconnected somehow? And I havent had time to spend another 20 minutes chatting to recreate everything yet. We went back to Best Buy where we purchased it and they said that the first year it has to go through the manufacturers warranty. I was in hopes that someone from LG would contact us again from the information from the chat but have heard nothing back yet over a week later. We had the exact same washing machine and our prior residence and liked it so much we wanted it again but now were wondering why we did this? It does wash clothes great but again the smell permeates most of the house.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPPORT BE AWARE

I ordered the washer and dryer on 8/15 I requested installation for both appliances however when the delivery team came over they said they only had an order for the dryer installation. That is insane when you buy you need both them installed. I tried to use the chat to request installation they told me that I had to call the 1-800 customer support they said the wait time was more than 30 minutes I requested a call back they never call you back. When I tried to send an email they asked a bunch of questions because the appliances came without user guide/ manual. So I have them sitting in my laundry room without even be able to use them.

Ripped Gasket Assembly twice under 2 yr owning

I purchased this LG washer on 07/04/2022 and was delivered to me on 07/12/2022. A month later 9/13/2022 the gasket in the gasket assembly ripped/shredded and left a lot of grey mess on our laundry. Since the unit was under warranty the repair was done with no hassle cost on 9/15/2022. I was informed that the previous gasket was a product fault and the new one they installed will have no problem. Unfortunately the issue happened again last month 07/10/2024. It has only been 2 years since the last time this occurred. I opened a ticket with LG support but no movement has been made. I reached out to LG support chat 3 times and finally directed me to reach out to Service Support. I did not purchase warranty for these as I have never had the need to purchase warranty for any of my appliances. LG will not mitigate this issue without incurring a cost on my part. I am very disappointed and will not be purchasing LG products anymore.

Order the pedestal with the washer

Nice washer. Delicate cycle is pretty aggressive compared to other brands. If you are thinking of ordering the matching pedestal best to order with the washer. LG wont install the pedestal if ordered separately. They will just deliver the item and leave it in the room. Keep in mind LG Customer Service takes an hour to reach via phone and 2 business days or more via email. I paid an expedited fee for next day delivery before the 11AM cutoff and did not receive the item until two days later. I have yet to receive a refund on the pedestal now two weeks after I canceled the order. In the end wish I had ordered elsewhere.
