36™€ Cooktop

MPierrie 1/7/2025

I have been extremely pleased with this cooktop. The cast iron grates are very sturdy, which is a plus for a family that primarily cooks with a cast iron skillet and enameled Dutch oven. The center burner is great for efficiently boiling water. I like the backlit knobs as well, especially for a household with small kids.As another plus, I like the units appearance, it is definitely an elegant look that gives a high-end appliance feel.

Frigidaire Professional 36™€ Gas Cooktop

AWS1 1/3/2025

We are enjoying our new 36™€ Frigidaire Professional cooktop! It replaced the Gallery 36™€ cooktop. The raised cooktop allows the temperature to be better regulated. It provides for more even and accurate cooking. The burners light quickly and the lights on the knobs are a great feature! The various sizes of the burners are a plus, too, allowing us to use larger pots on two of the eyes. The rubber bumpers on the grates are a nice detail, too. We™€™re very satisfied with this cooktop!

Gas cooktop

Darlane 12/29/2024

Well built. I especially like the backlight feature around the knobs indicating gas is turned on. The even grids with no gaps make it easy to slide a heavy pot to another area on top of the cooktop. This replaces a 22 year old Frigidaire cooktop that was still functioning well. Easy to clean. We are enjoying the new updated cooktop.

Great

brh7 12/25/2024

We just got the new 36" gas cooktop and it is pretty great. It looks sleek, it works great and I love that the knobs/dials light up when in use as an extra failsafe. If I were to have only one complaint about the cooktop, it would be that large central burner appears to light slower than the other four burners; however, it is possible that this is an installation issue or user error. Overall, the varied sizes of the burners make sure you always have the right size for whatever pan you are cooking with and it looks clean and fancy.

Great Cooktop Upgrade

alliep13 12/23/2024

We are loving our new gas cooktop. We had the previous version of it and the new look and features are such an upgrade. For starters the knobs have a much smoother turn allowing for a precise temperature. The knobs still have the light indicator that helps show when the burner is on. We find this incredibly helpful when you are simmering. The flame can be so low that you might not realize it is still on but the lights help remind us when we are cleaning up and getting ready to relax post cooking. They also have a red indicator light that lets you know when the surface is hot. The layout of the knobs on this model are sleeker and easier to clean. The look of the new grate makes the cooktop feel and look bigger, it's easier to clean and catch any food fragments that might fall when cooking. The grates on this version are 3 stand alone pieces which makes moving them easier than the previous version. The older version had the middle piece laid on top of the left and right making it necessary to remove the grates in a certain order. The variety of burner sizes is such a plus, from a small tea kettle to big stock pots, this cooktop can handle it all. We are very impressed with this model. It is such a sleek upgrade to our kitchen.

Older Model FPGC3677RS

Thom Boglino 12/18/2024

I installed my cooktop a few days ago but before I selected this model I read up on the product and many of the reviews. While some reviews had good information to offer about performance some users were disappointed about missing features and cleaning issues. I will say this about the features. Electrolux has two nearly identical 36" Professional Series cooktops FPGC3677RS & PCCG3680AS. FP is the older model. It has metal knobs and comes with the griddle. PC is newer and has illuminated plastic knobs, a gold accented center burner, but no griddle. I prefer, and chose, the older model mainly because of the knobs. They were metal, and the setting indicator (Low-High) is part of the knob. The PC version not only had plastic knobs but the status was etched on the cooktop. That etching will eventually come off from frequent cleaning. The cast iron grates on both models are enameled but the orientation is different where the fins on "PC" run horizontal and "FP" runs vertical. Another thing is the depth. While both are 21.5 x 36 the depth on the FP is 4.25" and the newer PC is only 2.75" Now since I was replacing my gas cooktop from a Thanksgiving day tragedy, that 4.25" depth was a problem for my old KitchenAid was not that deep so I had some cutting to do which created some dust and cost me a lobster dinner as my wife was not happy with the mess I made. Cleaning Cast iron and stainless steel. Many reviews were about difficulty cleaning the stainless steel and grates that they were not cleaning friendly. Lets see if I can help. The cast iron grates come from the factory protected from rust and are dishwasher safe but they are rough to the touch. If you were to wash and dry them with a dish towel lint would attach itself to the grates and will not come off easily. The same goes for the griddle. The solution is to season them. A-lot. Use any method and oil you wish but this must be done. While there are many videos about how and what to do, I will offer these tips. Use any oil you want. Just know its smoke point and set your oven temp to that setting. Bake them for 45-90 minutes, allow to cool, then repeat. I used olive oil then baked for 60 minutes at 400F. Being that the grates are so rough you cannot apply the oil with a paper towel. I used a rubber brush and my fingers to apply the thinnest coat as possible. It took a long time to cover all 3 grates 100% and the griddle too. The rubber bumper pads on the grates are heat proof so they will not become damaged from the high temp in the oven. Amazon sells them by the dozen for just a few bucks. Don't put grates in the dish washer unless you want to season them all over again. Simply wash them with hot water and mild dish soap. Depending on how much you use your cooktop you can season them one time, once a month. That will keep them looking even colored. Unlike the Gallery series, the Professional series stainless steel can be cleaned with a blue scouring pad, bar keepers friend, or any other stainless steel cleaners. If these tools and supplies don't remove undesirable marks from your cooktop take some time to read and watch videos first. You want to be cautious about what chemicals you use as some, if not used properly, will alter the metal permanently. The "Grey" burners. (Where the flame comes out) are not protected or treated so they will get stained and for the most part, some stains will not come off easily so they will remain that way. Fortunately, you can use stronger cleaners and tools to remove the stains but you will need to remove them from the cooktop first. It's just a pair of screws holding each one in place. The burner caps that lay on top of the burners are treated and while they are out of direct contact with spills they will, over time, discolor. They are also dishwasher safe but while the abrasive soap and the hot water will clean the caps the process may not remove the stains and can make them look worse so be prepared. I used to paint my old cooktops burner caps with "satin black" hi-temp spray paint once a year. Cooking, Performance. A read that a few experienced the flame blowing out. The documentation included with the cooktop addresses this issue. In my opinion the installer should have tested and made the necessary adjustments but I also understand that new home builds may have obstacles that prevent the installer from testing the flames output. Regardless, there is an adjust men underneath the burner knob. It requires a thin blade screwdriver. It is easy to do and takes just a few minutes. I have had the cooktop just a few days and being that it is Christmas time I have done a good deal of cooking. I can happily say that everything works as expected. I can boil, simmer, and sear just like I did with my old cooktop. I did notice a feature on this cooktop that was not on my old unit. A burner with a smaller burner within it. Its meant to allow you to boil then simmer without having to slide the pot to another burner. While I can appreciate this it comes at a price and I don't mean money. The flame on this burner can be lower so much that it can no longer be seen. Meaning the flame is under the burner cap hidden from view. Only the knob lets you know a burner is still on. In a busy kitchen you may accidentally forget to turn it off. Aside from that the unit is great. The massive grates and the high profile make it look like you are serious about your cooking. If your hooking this up yourself the regulator is 1/2" on the input and 3/8" on the output. The cooktop is fitted with a male 3/8" nipple.

Excellent cooktop! Exceeded my expectations!

Narasi_K 12/16/2024

This is an excellent cooktop, which is sleek looking and functionally exceeded my expectations! I really do not have anything that is not excellent about it. It may not have the bells and whistles (mostly unnecessary and unneeded features) of other brands but it sure gets the job done! Frigidairre really means the word "Professional" on the label of this cooktop. I am so glad I made this choice!

Beautiful addition to my kitchen. I cook a lot of soup and stew. The different burner sizes come in very handy since the largest one is quite useful when bringing the soup to the boiling point quickly and simmer using the smallest burner. The backlit LED knobs feature is definitely a plus since it reminds me to turn off the stove just incase I forget to turn it off and when checking the stove before going to bed to make sure they are all turned off. No lights on, I am good to go. Looking forward to Korea delicious home cooked meals with ease.
